From the first fixes of January to July’s quality-of-life boost, 2025 has been about removing friction on the canvas, in approval loops, and across your team’s access. Here’s what shipped, in order.

A steadier foundation

We started the year by tightening reliability—especially around templates and everyday workflows. The January release fixed issues when editing and creating designs from templates, tuned shortcuts and AI templates, and shipped a round of minor stability improvements. The net effect: fewer interruptions and a more predictable canvas for busy production days.

Highlights

  • Fix for editing/creating from templates

  • Shortcuts and AI templates tuned

  • General stability improvements

Flow on the canvas, control on export

February focused on momentum—making precise edits feel effortless and giving you finer control over animated exports.

We rolled out a revamped canvas experience so you can easily select, drag, and arrange elements, with quick access to text styles, blur, borders, and shadows. On export, enhanced GIF optimization lets you choose frame rate, set a custom color palette, and dial in resolution, so the creative doesn’t have to trade quality for load time. We also delivered practical quality-of-life touch-ups: dark theme and localization edits, AI palettes, a fixed drag-and-drop, and other polish.

Highlights

  • Smoother selection, dragging, and visual styling on canvas

  • GIF control over frame rate, palette, and resolution

  • Dark theme/localization edits, AI palettes, drag-and-drop fix, and more

Reviews without bottlenecks

In April we removed a common blocker in creative review: access. Unlimited viewing seats mean you can invite every stakeholder—PMs, legal, brand, clients—without juggling licenses or worrying someone can’t see the latest version. Share freely, keep editing rights scoped to creators, and eliminate “lost updates” from people reviewing screenshots instead of the live file.

What this unlocks

  • No more seat math for reviewers

  • Clearer version control (everyone sees the source of truth)

  • Faster, less fragmented approvals

Create boldly with the new Trash Bin

Exploration should never feel risky. Our Trash Bin lets you instantly declutter by sending unwanted elements out of the way—without deleting them for good. You keep a tidy workspace and the freedom to restore items anytime, which makes rapid iteration safer and faster. Design with confidence, knowing nothing valuable is gone for good.

Why it matters

  • Cleaner canvas during exploration

  • Easy, anytime restores

  • Faster experimentation with less anxiety

What it all adds up to

  • Speed: Smoother on-canvas interactions and export controls get you from concept to final faster.

  • Reliability: Early-year fixes reduced “why isn’t this working?” moments, especially with templates.

  • Governance: Unlimited viewer seats remove access bottlenecks while keeping editing permissions tight.

  • Confidence: The Trash Bin is your safety net—clean now, recover later.

Framing the year: 1H25 shipped; 2H25 gets even bigger

January through April delivered our 1H25 push on reliability, speed, and review access; July kicked off 2H25 improvements. The second half of 2025 brings a wave of creative power:

  • Video, end-to-end: import, trim, and export video files to power richer HTML5 designs.

  • Supercharged auto-resize: faster, smarter resizing that respects layout intent across formats.

  • Editor upgrades: groups and autolayouts for cleaner structure and rapid adjustments.

  • Improved animator: new sets of text and transition animations for on-brand motion in minutes.

  • More AI templates: fresh, editable starting points to jump-start campaigns.

We’re excited to see what you ship with these upgrades. If you’d like help rolling them into your workflow, or early access to the upcoming video tools, reach out and we’ll get you set up.
