Element Lock is a feature that restricts most actions on a canvas element. When an element is locked, a modified sidebar appears with locked style control panels, leaving only content management panels accessible.

To Lock and Unlock element just select and click Lock icon in the side bar. You can also use standard shortcuts cmd+ shift + L(for MAC) or ctrl + shift + L (for Windows)

Restrictions on Locked Elements

Locked elements cannot have the following properties changed:

  • Position on the canvas

  • Element size

  • Z-index

  • Typography: font size, line height, letter spacing, alignment

  • Fill, except for image replacement

  • Outlines

  • Blur

  • Corner radius

  • Alignment

  • Duplication

  • Deletion

  • Shadows

Available Actions

The following actions remain available for locked elements:

  • Selection on the canvas

  • Copying to clipboard

  • Unlocking

  • Content operations:

    • Rewriting text on the canvas (via double-click)

    • Connecting to a feed

    • Adding manual text/image variations

    • Replacing images

    • Using removbg feature

  • When copying and pasting a locked element, its "locked" status is preserved.

  • The lock status of an element is synchronized and distributed between resizes.
